Revalidation of ForMission’s Programmes

ForMission College is pleased to announce that all of its academic programmes have recently been approved and re-validated by Newman University for the period 2023 to 2028. The college’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes were reviewed, updated and subjected to external scrutiny, with Newman being satisfied with the proposed content, delivery and administration of ForMission’s courses for the next five years.

This process has been an opportunity for ForMission to add innovative new undergraduate modules such as Missional Chaplaincy; Diaspora Mission; and Apologetics and Missional Ethics. Even more significantly, ForMission has now added two new pathways for its MA in Missional Leadership. These ground-breaking pathways enable students to specialise in Justice or in Discipleship and Movements, in addition to the existing four MA pathways.

Professor Susan Docherty, Head of Theology at Newman University, was involved in the revalidation process and gave this endorsement:

I really value the long-standing partnership our Department and University has with ForMission and would strongly recommend the College’s courses. Their programmes offer a high-quality and rigorous academic education in Christian theology, biblical studies and missional leadership while also foregrounding the practical relevance of this study for contemporary churches and societies. The tutors know all their students as individuals, and the impressive level of support and challenge that staff provide enables students to achieve their full potential.”

ForMission College values its partnership with Newman University, a collaboration that since 2018 has enabled it to offer leading-edge accredited courses that are continually being developed to ensure they are as contemporary and relevant as possible.
