ForMission Staff Receive Fellowship Awards
Four members of ForMission’s staff team have been awarded Fellowships by Advance HE (formerly the Higher Education Academy), qualifications that demonstrate a commitment to professionalism in learning and teaching in higher education.
Chris Ducker (Principal), Tim Reith (Dean of Studies) and Andy Kingston-Smith (Postgraduate Programme Director) were all awarded a Senior Fellowship, based on their experience and professional practices; core knowledge; and professional values, and Paul Makau (Manchester Campus Leader) was awarded a Fellowship .
ForMission’s Chair of Trustees, Roy Baylis, commented “The awarding of these highly respected Fellowships is recognition of the fact that ForMission’s staff and management are committed to the highest standards in teaching and learning – with the intention of benefiting ForMission’s students and furthering the college’s mission of preparing men and women for Christian leadership and service.”
Through the college’s Staff Development and Wellbeing Committee, and with support from colleagues at Newman University, a further seven members of staff are also working towards an Advance HE Fellowship.
