New Missional Journal
March 3rd 2022
ForMission College is pleased to announce the launch of its new journal, Missional Focus. This innovative publication aims to resource God’s people for missional engagement in the world today. As such it is aimed at practitioners as well as academics; for church leaders and ‘ordinary’ Christians alike.
Missional Focus will be published bi-annually and is available online here. The first edition takes the ‘signs of the times’ as its theme and includes articles, case studies, an interview and a book review.
ForMission’s Director of Research, Dr Andy Hardy, explains “We hope that you (the reader) will join us in our journey, as we launch out on the venture of engaging others in the missional conversation. We believe that God invites us to creatively engage in participating in the missio Dei. God owns, and directs, all mission, which entails nothing less than drawing all of creation into relationship with Him. We want to join with you, in seeking to discern what God is calling His people to do in numerous creative ways as a participation in God’s coming kingdom.”
Andy is joined on Missional Focus’ editorial board by ForMission Principal Chris Ducker and colleagues Carol Clarke and Carol Kingston-Smith. Queries or proposed submissions should be sent to the editors at missionalfocus@formission.org.uk.
Mission Statement: Missional Focus aims to cast a compelling vision for leaders and missional communities to discern, stimulate and shape fresh ways of equipping God’s people, to participate in God’s mission – by providing leading edge stories, ideas, and details of training opportunities.
