Welcome from the Principal

It is increasingly recognised that mission is from everywhere to everywhere and that the traditional distinction between “sending” and “receiving” countries no longer applies. At ForMission, we have a vision for preparing and equipping a multi-ethnic, multi-national mission force to reach Europe and especially the UK. We believe it is vital to train home grown and recently arrived missionaries together – to the benefit of both.

Despite the long shadow of Christendom, Europe is in many ways a post-Christian continent and a challenging context for Christian mission. This requires an innovative approach to mission that combines practical application, an understanding of culture and a commitment to missional living. ForMission staff are practitioners themselves, with many years of experience of mission and/or church planting.

ForMission students are encouraged to live out their faith missionally and have the chance to do that through the placement opportunities that are integral to our courses. These placements help students grow as they serve a church, mission agency or charity, and then reflect on what they have practised and learned.

As a college, we are passionate about equipping the next generation of Christian leaders and servants, renewing the church and impacting the world for Christ.
