Increasingly people are talking about a post-secular Europe. What does that mean? It does not mean that people are flooding back to church because alongside that post secular exploration comes a deep distrust of all institutions – not just the church.
But it does mean that there is a new opportunity for conversation about life and about a spiritual dimension to life. In short there is a new opportunity for Christians.
Leading in this kind of environment requires new skills. That is why we have designed an MA in Missional Leadership. It tackles the issues that are rarely taught in Bible College or University Theology departments.
How do we “read” our community? How might we create a conversation with our neighbourhood? How do we create team? How can we lead change and creatively handle conflict?
These and many other issues are addressed in the ForMission MA in Missional Leadership – a part time MA taught in Manchester, Birmingham and London using an action/reflection model. You learn, you practice in your ministry and you reflect on what you have learnt.
Learning while exercising ministry is probably the most effective way to enhance and sharpen the leadership skills you will need for the next 20 years.
