MA Entry Requirements
At ForMission College, we welcome applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds and we make every effort to ensure that everyone is treated equally throughout our admissions process.
There are several entry routes to the MA programme:
ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
- A good first degree (first, upper second or strong lower second) or graduate diploma in theology or related subject
- Previous awards do not need to be in theology, and a degree in a related subject is usually sufficient evidence of an ability to engage with the programme
- Students without a degree but who can demonstrate significant ministry experience will also be considered, subject to appropriate assessment
If you do not have traditional qualifications, you may still be eligible for entry on the basis of your ministry experience.
We may also be able to take Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) into account if you have completed up to 80 credits at postgraduate level (PGCert, or PGDip, or individual module[s] totalling up to 80 credits). Normally, RPL must have been completed within 5 years of the date of application.
RPL can only be considered if it is possible to demonstrate that your prior experience and/or postgraduate qualification is sufficiently-related in both content and learning outcomes to modules on our programme. There is a process to follow with our validating University before confirmation of RPL may be successfully granted.
Interviews
We interview all applicants, regardless of their qualifications and/or experience. This is usually done online.
Visa Requirements
Neither ForMission nor Newman University is licenced by the UK Government to sponsor migrant students under the Student route and is therefore unable to allow such applicants to physically attend classes at our UK campuses. Students studying at the Amsterdam Campus do not need a UK visa.
