Chris Ducker

Background

Chris is from the north-west of England and after graduating from university he worked in London as a management consultant before he and his wife were called to overseas mission. From 2007-2014 Chris and his family served in Moldova in Eastern Europe, working with rural churches and encouraging them in mission, evangelism, youth work and community transformation. Upon returning to England, Chris joined the faculty of Redcliffe College, teaching a range of topics including Global Missiological Issues; Leadership; Justice and Mission; and Cross-cultural Communication. He was responsible for the College’s quality management and accreditation.

Chris is married with three children, and a member of an evangelical church in Gloucester. He succeeded Martin Robinson as ForMission’s Principal in December 2020.

Qualifications

Chris has a master’s degree in Contemporary Issues in Global Mission and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Theology. He also has a master’s degree in Development Studies from Cambridge University and a bachelor’s degree in History from York University.

Research

His interests include holistic mission, cross-cultural church partnerships, Christian responses to globalisation, business as mission, cross-cultural leadership and approaches to short-term mission.

Memberships

In 2022, Chris was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE). He is also a member of the Association of Bible College Principals.
