BA Entry Requirements
Equal Opportunities
At ForMission College, we welcome applicants with a diverse range of qualifications and experience, ensuring that everyone is treated in accordance with our Equal Opportunities Policy during the admissions process.
Educational Requirements
To be considered for admission to the BA Degree based on your educational qualifications, you must have GCSE English (grade ‘C’/ grade 4, or above), and at least 2 A Level passes (a minimum of 80 UCAS points), or the equivalent. Any applicant may also be asked to take an Initial Student Evaluation (ISE).
Applicants who have already completed a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) that is deemed equivalent to Year 1 of the BA Programme may be considered for direct entry to Year 2 of the programme via the Recognition of Prior Learning process.
Applicants wishing to apply for the BA (Hons) Top-Up Year, will need to have a Foundation Degree (FdA) or Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in a relevant subject.
Other Entry Routes
If you do not meet the educational requirements, you may still be considered for admission. You will be asked to take an Initial Student Evaluation (ISE), and the results of this test will help us to evaluate your application.
English Language Requirements:
If you do not have a GCSE in English (or an equivalent qualification), you will need to take an English test as part of the admissions process.
Interviews
We interview all applicants, regardless of their qualifications. Interviews take place online or at the nearest Formission Hub.
DBS Check
As the undergraduate courses all require work-based learning which will almost inevitably entail engagement with children, young people or vulnerable adults, having an up-to-date Disclosures and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced disclosure (or equivalent national disclosure) is an essential requirement for admission. All DBS certificates which flag unspent convictions will be reviewed by Birmingham Newman University.
Visa Requirements
ForMission is not licensed by the UK Government to sponsor migrant students under the student route and is therefore unable to accept applications from international students at present. Students studying at the European Online Campus do not need a UK visa.
