Jesus called us to be agents of mission to the world in which we live. So the challenge for the church is to find innovative ways to connect with people and communities in an authentic and meaningful way.
“The Missional Conversation” aims to communicate innovative stories about how we can be missional to our generation.
Our host is Rev Dr Martin Robinson is an international speaker and the author of ‘Invading Secular Space’, ‘The Faith of the Unbeliever’ and ‘Planting Mission Shaped Churches’, he is considered a leading mission thinker and practitioner.
At “The Missional Conversation”, you will hear from guests about their experience of mission, share from your experience and be provoked to think differently about mission.
Martin picks up the theme for this tour …
“The sociologist Grace Davie wrote a very perceptive book on Christianity in Europe with the wonderful title “Europe, the Exceptional Case”. Grace was writing about two strange realities.
“First, Christianity is growing dramatically in nearly every part of the globe apart from Europe; in other words, Europe is an exception. Second, Christianity is the founding story of Europe and to walk away from one’s founding story is indeed exceptional.
“In the middle of all this strange behaviour, God appears to be doing some fascinating new things. The question about what God might be up to and how we might respond is what we call “The Missional Conversation”.
