ForMission Events are very excited to host a conference in partnership with John Ray Initiative
The conference will address the key question of what are the issues for transport both now and in the future.
Come along to find out more!
What are the current trends in transport and what will we be using in the future? We all use transport almost every day of our lives, but do we ever think about what we are doing? Many people worry about carbon emissions from transport, and indeed it is a major issue for the United Kingdom as it seeks to meet its commitments to the Paris Agreement. But are there other things we should consider? If we move towards having driverless vehicles what will happen to all those who earn their livings from driving? And what will happen in the developing world? What are the ethical and theological issues? How do we make sensible personal decisions about the transport we use? Come to our ground-breaking conference and hear what the experts have to say on all these topics and more!
This conference will be of interest to Christians and others who have an interest in sustainability and the environment. It is intended to deepen our thinking as we consider how to respond theologically and ethically to the present environmental crisis.
When: Saturday, 17 March 2018 from 09:30 to 16:30 (GMT)
Where: Westmead Hotel, Redditch Road, Hopwood, Birmingham B48 7AL
Ticket prices: £48 (£24 concessions)
This year the majority of our bookings will be taken online. We are, however, aware that some people may prefer to use a paper route and, if this is you, then please download a printable leaflet (link to come soon) and follow the instructions to book your place by post.
